Ghibli 3D Model Exhibition

Warehouse Terrada B&C Hall
Until Sep 23
| Reservation Required
Ghibli 3D Model Exhibition, an immersive showcase celebrating the world of Studio Ghibli, opens on May 27 at Warehouse Terrada B&C Hall in Tennozu, Tokyo.

Studio Ghibli films, including The Boy and the Heron, which has been released in over 80 countries and regions, continue to captivate audiences worldwide. Behind this global reach are individuals across the globe who have cherished these works and dedicated years to sharing them with local communities. This exhibition follows the journeys of Ghibli’s international partners and how they brought the films to new audiences, while presenting iconic scenes from the films as three-dimensional models. Originally launched in 2003, the three-dimensional model exhibition marked the beginning of Ghibli’s large-scale showcases. Now, after years of evolution, it returns to Tokyo for the first time in 22 years.

A centerpiece of the exhibition is the Savoia S21 flying boat from Porco Rosso. Created with meticulous detail under the premise of “What if it really existed?”, this striking model looks ready to lift off from Warehouse Terrada at any moment.

Running from May 27 to September 23, the exhibition also features a nostalgic treat: the much-talked-about “ham ramen”, which first gained popularity during the Friday Roadshow and Ghibli Exhibition two years ago, will return at the nearby floating venue T-Lotus M. In addition, special combination tickets that include admission to the Ghibli Museum in Mitaka and hotel stay packages will be available.
