Junaida (b. 1978), an artist whose recently published picture books such as "Michi," "The Monster Garden," "The City Thief" (all by Fukuinkan Shoten), and "Edne" (Hakusensha) have all generated significant buzz. His work features a mysterious world reminiscent of Europe, with intricately detailed characters and backgrounds. The striking use of colors creates a unique world where light and darkness coexist, attracting considerable attention.
"Imaginarium," Junaida's first large-scale solo exhibition, to be held at the Nagasaki Prefectural Art Museum. In this fantastical world adorned in red and gold, over 400 pieces will be on display, including original illustrations from his picture books and standalone artworks. Visitors will also encounter new works created specifically for this exhibition, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in Junaida's imaginative universe.
Additionally, a variety of original museum merchandise, including the exhibition catalog will be on sale. The design of the promotional materials and the catalog is handled by Cozfish, who also designed the books such as "The Monster Garden."
