"The Seto Inland Sea Report" is a series that attempts to depict the Seto Inland Sea using various techniques. The Seto Inland Sea is characterized by a significant difference between high and low tides, and this tidal range is one of the defining phenomena of the region. The weathered breakwaters, washed by the waves, symbolize this tidal fluctuation, making them a representation of the "pictures of the Seto Inland Sea." The term "tide" in Japanese is pronounced as "chouseki," referring to the ebb and flow of the tide. This artwork draws inspiration from the breakwaters of the Seto Inland Sea, focusing on the theme of tides in its depiction of the "pictures of the Seto Inland Sea."

*The previous work, "Seto Inland Sea Report: Wake of the Voyage," is also exhibited and screened simultaneously at the venue.
